A life of making things.

Steve Kumetz has never followed a particularly straight line. His creative life has moved through sculpture, drawing, product design, entrepreneurship, travel and hospitality, but the impulse behind it has remained remarkably consistent: see something differently, then find a way to make it exist.

In his early twenties, extended travels through Europe, Greece and Israel deepened interests in art, archaeology, religion and mysticism that would remain with him throughout his life.

Decades later, those experiences began finding their way into wood, stone and crystal. The resulting sculptures are less a departure than a convergence—nature, memory, spirituality, design and a lifetime of making things brought into one physical form.
